Sacré Cœur’s After-School Tutoring Program: Empowering Students Beyond the Classroom

At Sacré Cœur, we are committed to providing our students with the tools and support they need to excel academically and personally. Our after-school tutoring program is a testament to this commitment, offering students additional opportunities to reinforce their learning in a supportive environment.

Maths Help Sessions: Monday to Thursday

Students seeking assistance in mathematics are encouraged to attend our Maths Help sessions, held Monday through Thursday in the library after school. These sessions are designed to provide focused support, allowing students to work through challenging concepts and problems with guidance from experienced tutors.

Alumni and Teacher Support

On Mondays and Thursdays, our Maths Help sessions are enhanced by the presence of both alumni tutors and current maths teachers. This collaborative approach offers students a unique opportunity to receive diverse perspectives and insights, enriching their learning experience.  

Additional Tutoring Opportunities

In addition to the Maths Help sessions, the library is open for general tutoring on Monday and Tuesday afternoons. These sessions cater to a wide range of subjects, providing students with the flexibility to seek help in areas where they may need additional support.

Maximising Class Time

We understand the importance of effective use of class time. While occasional disruptions, such as missed double periods, may limit in-class working time, our after-school tutoring program ensures that students have ample opportunities to catch up and reinforce their learning outside of regular class hours.
