Sacré Cœur Celebrates Premier’s VCE Award Winners

July 8, 2025

Sacré Cœur is proud to celebrate the outstanding achievements of three exceptional students from the Class of 2024 who have been recognised with this year’s prestigious Premier’s VCE Awards. These awards celebrate the top-performing students across Victoria who have demonstrated academic excellence and a deep commitment to their VCE studies.

This year, our award recipients are Diya A and Ellie B, both recognised for their outstanding results in English, and Rythma G, who received an award for Psychology. These students have earned their place among the highest achievers in the state, reflecting not only their academic ability but also their dedication, perseverance, and passion for learning.

Sacré Cœur has a strong tradition of academic excellence. These awards are presented annually to students who achieve exceptional results in their VCE studies. The number of awards in each subject varies based on statewide enrolments, and only a select few students are honoured.

Our Principal, Adelina Melia-Douvos, and English Learning Leader, Erin Clements, were delighted to attend the awards ceremony held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. The event was attended by distinguished guests, including the Premier of Victoria, Jacinta Allan, and the Governor of Victoria, Margaret Gardner. Premier Jacinta Allan personally commended the recipients for their perseverance, determination, and commitment to personal excellence.

All speakers offered warm words of praise, recognising the dedication, persistence, and commitment that led to these outstanding achievements. The ceremony also celebrated the important role of teachers, principals, and families who support students throughout their VCE journey.

Ms Melia-Douvos reflected, “These awards highlight the strength of our academic program and the commitment of our students and staff. We are immensely proud of Diya, Ellie, and Rythma. Their achievements embody the values of Sacré Cœur -intellectual curiosity, courage, compassion, and a drive for excellence.”

We extend our warmest congratulations to Diya, Ellie, and Rythma on their remarkable achievements. We also sincerely thank the dedicated teachers Ms Erin Clements and Mr Matthew Wiseman, along with the families who have supported these students every step of the way. Their success is a shining example of what can be achieved with hard work, passion, and a strong support network.
