Parent Forum on Social Media: Dr Danielle Einstein

August 27, 2025

Sacré Cœur is delighted to welcome Dr Danielle Einstein, Clinical Psychologist, Speaker, Researcher, and Author, for a compelling presentation titled Social Media: Harm, Anxiety and the New Laws. This important event will be held on Wednesday 11 September, from 7:00pm to 8:00pm at The Kirby.

Dr Einstein is a recognised leader in the field of adolescent mental health and the psychological impacts of technology use. Her work has been instrumental in shaping the Online Safety Amendment (Social Media Minimum Age) Act 2024, a landmark piece of legislation that will require social media platforms to take reasonable steps to prevent children under the age of 16 from accessing their services, effective from December 2025.

During this session, Dr Einstein will explore the growing body of research linking social media use to anxiety in young people. She will offer practical strategies and insights to help families better understand and manage the challenges of the digital world. The presentation will be especially relevant for parents and carers of children in Years 5 to 11, though all members of the community are encouraged to attend.
