Subjects and pathways
At the heart of the VCE at Sacré Cœur is a wide variety of subject offerings.
Girls must complete English to gain their VCE but can choose from four different Maths subjects, three languages including Japanese, French and Latin, three History subjects, Health and Human Development, Physical Education, Legal Studies, Business Management, Accounting, four different Science subjects, three Art subjects, Music, Drama, Theatre Studies, Information Technology and Literature.
We also have a sharing arrangement with our neighbour, Korowa Anglican Girls school, which means students from our school can access the broadest range of subjects possible. This sharing arrangement has been in place for over twenty years. Our class sizes are small with an experienced, committed staff who work in partnership with the girls to ensure they have every opportunity to achieve their aspirations.
Our careers department also prepares the students thoroughly for life beyond Sacré Cœur. The Government's on track data has shown our students to have the highest University retention rate of all Catholic schools in Victoria, an indication that our girls are truly lifelong learners.
