Tournament of Minds – Primary Team off to State Finals!
Over forty Primary and Secondary Sacré Cœur students participated in the recent Tournament of Minds competition, with one Primary team winning the Language and Literacy section and going through to the State Finals to be held in September.
"Enthusiasm, commitment and teamwork were just some of the essential ingredients that they needed to tackle the Long Term and Spontaneous Language /Literature challenge," said Tournament of Minds Co-ordinator, Kathy Couzens.
The girls, together with a team of Primary and secondary teachers, spent many hours in preparation for the competition.
Honors were awarded to Primary Team 3 and Secondary Team 4. The participants have gained several valuable lessons in undertaking this fabulous learning opportunity.
