Sacré Cœur's library occupies the ground floor and part of the first floor of the Dorothy McGuinness Centre.
The library serves the needs of staff and students through the provision of a stimulating and supportive learning environment which encourages the development of enthusiastic and independent lifelong learners.
It accommodates all students from Prep to Year 12 with a Junior and Senior library. There are several class areas for research and general reading, as well as a full class size Global Research Centre, an editing suite, theatrette and seminar rooms.
What makes our library special?
The library is so much more than a physical presence. The work of the teacher-librarians focuses on curriculum support. Pathfinders, rubrics, and help sheets facilitate self-paced learning and enhance students research opportunities. ICT sessions provide scaffolding for students in the online world.
Our highly qualified library staff also undertake a range of special programs designed to challenge, extend and foster a love of reading amongst our community.
