From drawing, painting and ceramics, to sculpture, film and photography, and everything in between, our young artists are encouraged use a wide range of tools together with their imagination to express themselves creatively.
Visual and performing arts form part of the core curriculum at Sacré Cœur from Prep to Year 9, after which there are series of popular electives leading to the formal arts subjects undertaken at VCE.
Junior and Senior students have their works formally exhibited at our annual Art Shows.
In 2011, three Sacré Cœur students were invited to exhibit their work in the Top Design and Top Arts VCE Season of Excellence exhibition.
Four students from the Class of 2011 had their VCE studio arts work short-listed for Top Arts 2012 and two students have been short-listed for Top Designs. This is a fabulous achievement to have four girls out of one year level potentially selected for this prestigious honour. We wish them all the best of luck in this process.
