This year Sacré Cœur celebrates 125 years of Sacred Heart education at Burke Road – a magnificent milestone for our historic School.

As we celebrate our 125^th Anniversary of living and learning at Burke Road we have 'allowed our walls to speak' by capturing the stories of many who walked the same corridors in earlier times.  These people will be great role models for our current and prospective students as the girls read something of the person’s life.

We have produced a series of photographs on display in the Janet Erskine Stuart Centre, plus a coffee table book, to acknowledge and celebrate the contributions of significant people in the School's history.

Celebratory Events

Save the dates!  Here is a list of events we will be holding this year as part of our 125 Year Celebrations.

Sunday 21 April                               Alumnae Association Luncheon

Thursday 1 August                          125 Concert, Prep to Year 12 at the Melbourne Recital Centre

Sunday 11 August (tbc)                   Sacred Heart Day Mass at St Patrick's Cathedral

Saturday 24 August                         Parents’ Association Dinner Dance at Leonda

Wednesday 4 December (tbc)        Carols at St Patrick's Cathedral

Sacré Cœur’s Community Choir

As part of the 125 year celebrations, Sacré Cœur has formed the inaugural Community Choir which will perform at key events.  Their debut was at Speech Night 2012, followed by the Carols service at St Patrick's cathedral!  The Community Choir comprises just that – members of the Sacré Cœur community – staff, alumnae, parents and friends who love to sing! 

We have performances arranged for Sacré Cœur’s 125^th Celebrations in 2013, including the Melbourne Recital Centre in August and participation at the Annual Music Concert and Carols Service.

The Community Choir is conducted by Rebecca Long and accompanied by Alison Conrau.  Annual subscription is $50 per year.

Rehearsal Details
Rehearsals will take place on the following dates:  27 March, 24 April, 15 May, 5 and 19 June , 31 July, 21 August, 4 and 18 September, 23 October, 13 and 27 November. 

Time: 7.30pm – 9.00pm

Venue:  Kirby Centre
